OPP arrest suspect after a rash of property crimes

The Ontario Provincial Police believe they've arrested the man responsible for a rash of property crimes in Essex County late last month.

The crimes were all between September 22 and September 26. There were six incidents, but the OPP think there may be more.

With the help of the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad, the OPP arrested a 31-year-old Lakeshore man on Tuesday.

Among the charges, there are 28 counts of operation while prohibited under the criminal code, 12 of failing to comply with a probation order, three of using a disguise with intent to commit a crime, four of break and enter, and two separate counts for possession of property obtained by crime.

Police ask anyone with information related to the investigation to call at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips are also accepted online at www.catchcrooks.com.
