Windsor police recover truck, $400K in stolen goods

Windsor police are looking to the public for tips after a truck was recovered, along with a substantial amount of stolen property.

Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash Saturday around Central Avenue and North Service Road involving a transport truck and a trailer. Those were located after the occupants fled.

Investigators determined that the transport truck was stolen. It contained over $400,000 worth of stolen goods.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or can provide additional information or camera footage should call Windsor police's Target Base Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
