Another COVID-19 outbreak at WRH

Windsor Regional Hospital has rescinded one COVID-19 outbreak and declared another.

The outbreak on the 4North unit at met Campus that was declared on October 9 has been lifted. Three patients on the unit tested positive for the virus but no other cases have been identified.

There have now been three new cases identified on 7North at Met campus. As a result, an outbreak has been declared in that unit. If no other cases are identified the outbreak will be rescinded on October 24, 2023.

Outbreak protocols have been implemented in the unit.

As of October 10, a masking policy has been in place at the hospital. As part of the policy, all staff and volunteers are required to wear a mask when within 6 feet of a patient.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
