Windsor Regional Hospital lifts second COVID-19 outbreak

Windsor Regional Hospital has rescinded a COVID-19 outbreak on another one of its units.

Only a few days after officials announced the second outbreak this month, the hospital said on social media Tuesday afternoon that the 7-North unit at the Metropolitan Campus has been cleared, with no active cases.

The outbreak was first declared on Thursday, the same day a previous outbreak on the 4-North unit was rescinded.

Three cases of COVID-19 were discovered in both instances.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
