Teen arrested in alleged unprovoked assault

A 15-year-old was arrested after an alleged unprovoked attack in South Windsor Friday evening.

Windsor police released a photo of a suspect on social media Tuesday afternoon and an arrest was made by Tuesday evening.

The victim reported he was sitting in his vehicle on Everts Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on October 27, when a man approached him and started an argument. When the victim tried to leave his car he was assaulted and his cell phone was damaged.

The accused is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and uttering death threats.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
