Man facing charges related to child pornography

A Belle River man is facing charges after an investigation into the possession and transmission of child pornography by the Windsor Police Service.

The investigation started in March 2023 with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit got a top that a person may be uploading child pornography online.

On September 12, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Bayberry Crescent in Belle River. Numerous electronic devices including computers, hard drives and cell phones were seized.

On October 31, a 63-year-old was charges with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and transmitting child pornography.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
