Golf tournament benefits three organizations

The St. Andrews LaSalle Food Bank, Take a Shot Sports, and Ronald McDonald House Windsor will each get a cheque for $5,000.

The LaSalle Police Youth Foundation raised the money during its charity golf tournament last July. Cash raised through the annual event supports organizations in LaSalle and Essex County.

The LaSalle Police Service is a long-time supporter of the St. Andrews LaSalle Food Bank, which supplies almost 70 families. Take a Shot Sports provides underserviced youth with sports programs free of charge, and families with seriously ill or injured children find a home away from home at the Ronald McDonald House.

LaSalle Police operate the foundation aimed at inspiring and enabling young people to realize their full potential.

Since 2002, the golf tournament has raised over $300,000.
