UPDATE: Three people injured in downtown shooting

Windsor police are investigating an overnight shooting downtown.

Police responded to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Park Street East shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday.

"Once on scene, officers found a 23-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his bicep," officials said. "Two other people were also grazed by bullets," they added.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as white, 5'5" to 5'7", and was weariung a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police are asking anyone with video surveillance of the immediate area to contact them.

Residents and businesses in the 400 and 500 blocks of Pelissier Street are also being asked to review any security camera footage for suspicious activity between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
