Early Sunday crash blamed on impaired driving

No one was hurt, but a 39-year-old Tecumseh woman faces impaired driving charges after a crash early Sunday morning.

Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Tecumseh responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road 22 at Lesperance Road around 1 a.m.

While speaking with one of the drivers, the officer realized the person had been drinking.

The woman was arrested and taken back to the detachment for further testing.

Now, the driver has a date to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 15.

Police remind the public if they see something suspicious or suspect a driver on the road is impaired, report it by calling 1-888-310-1122 or *OPP on their cell phone.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
