Windsor accepting student summer job applications

It may seem a little early but it's time for students to start thinking about summer jobs.

The City of Windsor Summer Student Lottery Program is now accepting applications.

Students attending an accredited university or community college who will be 17 by May 1st will be eligible for a position. Most positions also require a valid driver's license.

The City of Windsor hires students to work in parks and recreation and summer road crews from May until September.

The number of students to be hired will not be finalized until the city's operating budget is finalized.

Through the lottery system, a secured computer program randomly draws applications for order of consideration for employment.

Applications will be accepted until January 5, 2024. The results of the lottery will be posted in late January but official job offers won't go out until the spring.
