Candlelight service to remember loved ones lost ahead of holidays

A funeral home group has organized a vigil Tuesday night for those who have had loved ones pass away.

The Windsor-Essex funeral homes owned by Arbor Memorial will have a candlelight service of remembrance at the Ciociaro Club in Tecumseh.

The event is by invitation only and is expected to bring hundreds of people together to honour deceased loved ones during the holiday season. The service will feature remarks from Arbor's funeral professionals, followed by readings, and the candlelight remembrance.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the hour-long service beginning at 7 p.m. A dessert reception follows the service.

Arbor Memorial owns six funeral homes throughout Windsor-Essex, with one, Windsor Chapel, having three locations.
