UPDATE: Vacant house burns on Windsor Avenue

The cause of a house fire in downtown Windsor Wednesday morning is undetermined.

A boarded-up home on Windsor Avenue near Wyandotte Street East went up in flames around 6 a.m.

It was out an hour later.

Fire Prevention Officer with Windsor Fire and Rescue Services Mike Coste said firefighters were there last March for another fire.

No one was hurt.

While the cause could not be determined, the damage was estimated at $50,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
