Suspects arrested in double shooting case

Two suspects have been arrested in a double shooting investigation.

The shooting happened early in the morning on December 2 at a home on Giles Boulevard near Victoria Avenue. When police arrived on scene, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation and identified two suspects in the shooting.

Just after 9 a.m. Tuesday, a 20-year-old was arrested at a home on Fontana Avenue.

Later that evening, a 21-year-old was arrested at a home on Pelissier Street.

Both suspects have been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger the life of a person.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
