Suspect arrested after stabbing

A Windsor woman is facing charges after a stabbing in downtown Thursday morning.

Officers were called to Giles Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man with two stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the stabbing happened after an argument over money.

Investigators found the suspect hiding under a vehicle in a parking lot and took her into custody.

The 29-year-old woman was charged with assault causing bodily harm, and failing to comply with a release order.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
