Man charged in November break-and-enter

A 32-year-old man has been arrested following a break-in at a Kingsville business.

Officers from the OPP's Kingsville detachment were called shortly after 5 a.m. on November 5 to the business on Division Street North.

A suspect was identified following a joint investigation by the OPP's Community Street Crime Unit and Ontario Lottery and Gaming's Corporate Investigations Unit.

The suspect, from Windsor, was arrested on Tuesday.

He is charged with break-and-enter with intent to commit an offence, possession of break-in instruments, disguise with intent to commit an offence, possession of stolen property above and below $5,000, possession of stolen proceeds under $5,000, and mischief.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The suspect was released and will have a chance to respond to the charges in a Windsor court on March 8, 2024.

The investigation is ongoing.
