Police investigating an attempted robbery

Police in Windsor are looking for three suspects after an attempted robbery at a jewellery store.

Just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, three masked suspects entered a jewellery store on Eugenie Street West near Ouellette Avenue. But, when they saw a police officer on contract duty inside the store, the suspects quickly took off.

They were seen leaving the area in a blue Honda CRV with Ontario license plates.

All three suspects are described as men wearing dark clothing and face masks.

Investigators ask residents and businesses in the area of to check their security surveillance cameras for evidence.

Anyone with information or video footage is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4830.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
