Police investigating stabbing in downtown Windsor

Windsor police are looking for a suspect after an early morning stabbing in the city's downtown on Monday.

Officers were called to an altercation near the intersection of Chatham Street West and Pelissier Street around 1:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old man with a stab wound to his back. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators learned an argument started between the victim and three men inside a licensed business. The altercation continued outside, where the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife.

The suspect and two other men took off, running down Chatham Street West.

The suspect is described as a Black male between 18 and 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a black balaclava, a grey, white, and black jacket, red pants with a black stripe, black flip flops with a Champion logo, and a black satchel.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
