Four arrested after downtown assault

Four people from Michigan are facing charges after an assault outside a nightclub in downtown Windsor Sunday.

Windsor police were called to the intersection of University Avenue and Ouellette Avenue around 3 a.m. where they found an unconscious 38-year-old man lying on the ground.

Investigators learned the victim was assaulted by four individuals and the suspects took off before police arrived.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police tracked the suspects to a nearby hotel on Dougall Avenue.

Four 20-year-olds from Michigan were arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
