Minimal damage in east Windsor fire

Fire officials say no injuries were reported in a house fire Wednesday night in Windsor.

Windsor firefighters were called shortly after 11 p.m. to a home on Little River Road off Riverdale Avenue.

The fire was declared out a short time later, but crews remained on the scene through early Thursday performing ventilation.

Damage to the home was minimal, and no injuries were reported. Windsor Fire and Rescue said careless disposal of smoking material was the cause.
