Arrest made following armed robbery

The Windsor Police Service (WPS) has arrested a 35-year-old man following an armed robbery in Walkerville.

On Boxing Day, just before 1 a.m., police responded to the report of a robbery at a home on Moy Avenue, in the area of Erie Street East.

Officers determined that the suspect approached the victim in an alley as he attempted to get into his vehicle. "The suspect threatened the victim with a firearm and a knife, and subsequently stole the victim's vehicle," police said.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Through investigation, police identified the suspect. He was arrested on Saturday at a Gladstone Avenue address.

The suspect faces numerous charges including armed robbery, pointing a firearm, and uttering death threats.
