K-9 unit helps track down suspect

A 24-year-old has been arrested after a break-in at a home on Rossini Boulevard Tuesday morning.

Police were called around 2 a.m. after a homeowner was woken up by their home alarm system.

Video surveillance at the home showed a person entering the back of the house and then taking off after the alarm was activated.

K-9 officer Rolex and his handler tracked the suspect to a home on Tourangeau Road.

The suspect is facing charges of unlawfully being in a dwelling.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
