Police investigate sexual assault and forcible confinement

A 15-year-old girl is recovering after she was held against her will for days and sexually assaulted at a home on Glengarry Avenue.

Windsor Police say the girl met with a man at a home on Glengarry between University Avenue East and Assumption Street.

Once she was inside the home, the man sexually assaulted her multiple times and kept her confined for four days.

Eventually, she escaped.

She's been treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital.

Police arrested the 35-year-old suspect on Saturday.

Alexander Chapman Fuerth is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under 16-years of age, assault, assault by choking, forcible confinement and mischief under $5,000.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
