One injured in Windsor crash

Windsor police say an east-end intersection is now clear after a morning collision kept it closed for several hours Monday.

It happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. on McHugh Street at Darfield Road, near the WFCU Centre. One vehicle, traveling westbound on McHugh, hit a second vehicle that was turning onto Darfield.

This resulted in a chain reaction that sent one of the vehicles into a traffic signal.

Constable Bianca Jackson told WindsorNewsToday.ca that one person was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle turning onto Darfield was ticketed for making an improper left turn.

The area was closed to traffic for most of Monday morning while police completed their investigation. It has since reopened.
