WRH rescinds COVID-19 outbreak at Met campus

Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) has lifted an outbreak protocol at its Metropolitan Campus.

A COVID-19 outbreak was declared on January 4 in the 7-North Unit at the campus, after four patients.

With no additional cases being reported, the outbreak was lifted.

At the moment, there are no active outbreaks at either the Met or Ouellette campuses. A masking policy was reintroduced in October 2023.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
