Border officials seize firearms at Ambassador Bridge

An American traveller has a $2,500 fine to pay for allegedly trying to bring two undeclared firearms and two over-capacity magazines into Canada.

Border guards at the Ambassador Bridge found the guns and magazines in a commercial vehicle crossing into Canada last Wednesday.

They seized the weapons and denied the traveller entry into Canada.

Earlier this week, border officials at the Ambassador Bridge, Queenston Bridge, and Rainbow Bridge seized eight firearms and four over-capacity magazines within 48 hours.
