Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a homicide in the Belle River area of Lakeshore.
Just before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday officers responded to an incident at a Faleria Street address.
One person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Police have made an arrest and said that there is no threat to public safety.
Residents may see an increased police presence in the area, as the investigation is ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
