Transformer fire shuts down Windsor City Hall

If you have business at Windsor City Hall today, you might want to reschedule.

A transformer fire in downtown Windsor has shut down 350 and 400 City Hall Square.

Both buildings are without power, and while crews are working to restore it, there's no word when it'll be back on.

The 311 Call Centre is open. However, it's operating with a reduced staffing complement, so there may be delays. The City of Windsor recommends using the 311 mobile app instead.

Service Ontario, Service Canada, and the provincial offences courts are in the 400 building at City Hall Square. Those services are closed for the day.
