Early morning house fire under investigation

The Windsor Police Service and Windsor Fire and Rescue Services are investigating an early morning fire in the city's west end.

Firefighters were called to a vacant house on Partington Avenue between Wyandotte Street West and University Avenue West around 4 a.m. on Monday.

Fire Prevention Officer Mike Coste said the fire destroyed the interior.

No one was injured.

Coste said there should be an update on the investigation on Monday afternoon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
