High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

LaSalle Police credit an observant resident for two arrests after thefts from parked vehicles.The witness called police around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to report two suspicious men going through parked cars in the Quick Street and Morton Drive area.Police soon arrived, arrested the pair, and discovered their vehicle was stolen in Windsor.A 33-year-old man of no fixed address faces possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of breaking and entering instruments, and breach of probation charges.The second suspect, a 30-year-old man of no fixed address, is charged with possession of breaking and entering instruments.The investigation is ongoing.
