Attempted murder charge in Leamington stabbing

A teenager from Peel Region is charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Leamington.

The Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call about an assault on Russell Street around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim with stab wounds. The victim is in the hospital with serious injuries.

They arrested a suspect a short time later.

The teen also faces charges of failing to comply with a release order and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
