High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Windsor police are hoping someone can help them identify a suspect wanted for identity theft.On November 6, a suspect submitted an online credit card application using a false identity.The next month, he visited a bank on Tecumseh Road and registered the card's PIN number. The suspect then maxed out the card to its full debt limit.The suspect is described as Asian with medium-dark skin, curly black hair, and glasses.Anyone who can identify this person is asked to contact the Windsor Police Financial Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4330.
