Canada Day parade returns to downtown Windsor

The Windsor Parade Corporation is looking for community groups, organizations and businesses that want to take part in the Canada Day parade.

The parade will be held in downtown Windsor on July 1, 2024.

"It's big. There's such a wonderful community buzz about it. It doesn't matter what your nationality is or what your religion is, it's Canada Day, it's celebrating this country that we are all fortunate to live in," said Maggie Durocher, executive director of the Windsor Parade Corporation.

The parade will start at Wyandotte Street and Ouellette Avenue and travel north down Ouellette Avenue. Floats will then turn west on Riverside Drive to Caron Avenue.

The parade will include inflatables, children's characters and other community floats. Anyone interested in participating in the parade can apply online.
