Commercial alarm leads to arrest of Windsor man

A 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with a break-and-enter early Thursday morning.

Windsor police responded to a commercial alarm at around 2 a.m., on Tecumseh Road West and Janette Avenue.

When officers arrived, they spotted the suspect inside, taking items. When he saw the officers, the man dropped the items and ran out the back doors.

The man was found a short time later, hiding under a stack of wood.

About $3,500 in property damage was also discovered.

The Windsor man is charged with break-and-enter. The charge has not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
