Suspect facing charges in drug investigation

Windsor police officers seized over $18,000 of illicit drugs during a recent investigation.

Last month, the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit launched an investigation into a man believed to be trafficking drugs out of a home in east Windsor.

Investigators searched two homes and a vehicle throughout the investigation.

In total, offices seized 101 grams of cocaine, 165 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a digital scale, and packaging materials. The drugs had an estimated street value of $18,000.

The suspect was arrested after a traffic stop in the Drouillard Road and Whelpton Street area. He was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
