Cause of Benjamin Avenue fire under investigation

Fire officials in Windsor are working to find the cause of a house fire on Benjamin Avenue early Monday morning.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services say it started in the basement of a home on Benjamin between Ellis Street East and Shepherd Street East and caused $200,000 in damages.

Nobody was hurt, but the fire forced two people out of their house.

Firefighters arrived at the home just before 2 a.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
