Greenshield reaches tentative agreement with Unifor Local 240

The union that represents employees at Greenshield Canada has reached a tentative agreement.

Unifor Local 240 made the announcement on its Facebook page on Monday morning.

The ratification meetings in Windsor and Toronto are scheduled Wednesday April 17.

The 600 employees from Unifor Locals 240 in Windsor and 673 in Toronto have been on strike since March 1.

When the employees went on strike the union was looking for better wages and increased job security.

The details of the agreement will not be released until the deal is ratified.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
