Three arrested for impaired driving

Windsor police officers arrested three people for impaired driving over eight hours this weekend.

Just before 8 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on County Road 17 where a vehicle went into a ditch. After speaking to the driver, officers believed they smelled alcohol and saw signs of impairment. The 40-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving.

About two hours later, officers arrived at a parking lot on Walker Road near Melinda Avenue, where a driver pulled over with damage to their vehicle. Officers found a 53-year-old woman who allegedly smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on her feet. They arrested the driver for impaired driving before taking her to police headquarters where she failed a breath test.

Police arrested a third driver around 4 a.m. after a single-vehicle crash on Cameron Avenue. Officers say the 34-year-old man smelled like alcohol and was uncooperative. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for further testing.
