Amherstburg couple get keys to dream home

The winners of the Brentwood Dream Home Lottery were presented with keys Tuesday.

The three-bedroom, three-bath home in Harrow was the top prize in the 32nd annual lottery.

Amherstburg residents David and Kelly Mickle were this year's winners.

“We were very excited to get the call when we won. We didn’t believe it at first. Winning this beautiful home is a dream come true and we are happy to support Brentwood” said David Mickle.

Tickets were sold from October to January with the grand prize draw in January. The lottery included over $1 million in prizes including the home, cash and cars.

All the funds raised through the lottery go toward operating Brentwood Recovery Home.

“2024 was another successful year for our lottery," said Elizabeth Dulmage, executive director of Brentwood Recovery Home. "It’s such a thrilling experience to be able to bring joy to the prize winners, especially during these difficult financial times. A lottery win is something we all dream about and it’s great that we get to make someone’s dream come true here today."

NOR-Built Construction built the 2023 dream lottery home.

"Brentwood and the Brentwood Lottery have been a pillar in the community for many years. We are thrilled to have been asked to be part of this project and for helping make a dream home a reality for someone today. We specialize in custom designed and built homes, and this year’s winner has won a very nice home,” said Norbert Bolger owner of NOR-Built Construction.

Planning for the next lottery is already underway. Tickets will go on sale in October.
