Market theft suspect arrested

Windsor Police have collared a suspect after a west-end market was robbed.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on Saturday on Tecumseh Road East near Walker Road.

Police say the suspect had an outstanding warrant for theft and now faces a charge of robbery.

Investigators started their search after a man walked into the Huron Church Road Market, and tried to leave with about $200 worth of merchandise without paying.

When a store employee confronted him, he pulled out a knife.

The worker wasn't injured.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
