"Rolex" tracks down two suspects after break-in

Windsor Police dog Rolex gets the credit for collaring two suspects after a break-in at a commercial property on North Service Road early Monday morning.

Police got a call about two people who arrived at the property just after midnight on a motorcycle. The complainant said the pair broke into several vehicles, tried to enter the units, and cut a hole in a fence to get away.

Officers, with the help of K9 officer Rolex, searched a wooded area behind the property and quickly arrested two suspects.

They also found a cheque, a laptop, and two ID cards that didn't belong to the suspects.

A 48-year-old man faces break-and-enter, property damage under $5,000, and possession of stolen property charges.

Police also charged a 38-year-old woman with break-and-enter, property damage under $5,000, possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of fraudulent documents, and failure to comply with a release order.

Anyone with information about the crime can call the Windsor Police Service Target Base Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or leave a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
