Man arrested after $10,000 drug seizure

Windsor police seized over $10,000 of illegal drugs during a recent investigation.

On Tuesday, the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit stopped and arrested a suspect at the intersection of Shepherd Street and Pelissier Street.

After the arrest, police searched the suspect's home on Elsmere Avenue. Officers, with the help of K9 officer Rolex, seized 61 grams of cocaine, 47 unknown pills, two digital scales and packaging materials. Another 36.1 grams of cocaine, 60 Percocet tablets, and a digital scale were seized from the suspect's vehicle.

A 42-year-old man is facing multiple charges of trafficking, possession, and possession of proceeds obtained by crime.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
