Sexual assault suspect arrested in Brantford

A 24-year-old man wanted in connection to the sexual assault of a young girl is in police custody.

Windsor Police said Carlos Leon was arrested in Brantford late Tuesday night.

The Major Crimes Unit started investigating earlier this month after it received a complaint that a man sexually assaulted a female under the age of 16.

It issued a public plea for information on the whereabouts of Leon, saying he had previous convictions for sexual offences.

Leon faces charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, failure to comply with a release order, and breach of probation.
