Witnesses sought in Windsor motorcycle crash

Windsor police are looking for witnesses to a collision that sent a motorcyclist to hospital.

It happened on Friday at around 8 p.m., in the area of Wellington Avenue and University Avenue West. Police said a blue Porsche SUV turned left on Wellington from University, and crashed into a red and white Suzuki motorcycle going eastbound on University.

The motorcyclist was treated in hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car stayed at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Windsor police's Traffic Enforcement Unit at (519) 945-9645, ext. 223. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
