OPP investigating robbery on County Road 42

The Ontario Provincial Police Essex Crime Unit is investigating a robbery in Tecumseh last week.

Around 3:30 a.m. on April 26, a suspect in a silver, four-door sedan drove into a garage bay door at a business on County Road 42. The driver did not gain access to the business at this time.

Around 4:40 a.m. a white pickup truck arrived at the business and smashed through the garage bay door.

Two suspects exited the truck and loaded several tankless hot water heaters into the truck. One of the suspects brandished a knife at an employee during the robbery.

A third suspect, a black sedan with silver rims, arrived on the scene and took off with the truck driving westbound on County Road 42.

The white truck was reported stolen from Essex.

The stolen property has an estimated value of $7,000 and $8,000.

Police are looking for at least four people, two white men between 25 to 30 years of age and a white woman.

If you have any information that can help investigators, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
