Police seize $18,270 of illegal drugs

A 22-year-old Windsor man was arrested and charged with drug offences while out on bail last month.

The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit started an investigation into an individual suspected for trafficking drugs in Windsor. Officers learned the person was on a release order with conditions to stay in his home 24 hours per day.

The Windsor Police Bail Compliance Unit checked on the person and found he violated the court-ordered conditions.

Officers located and arrested the suspect. During a search, they found 55.3 grams of fentanyl, 28.3 grams of cocaine, 32.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and $1,200 in Canadian currency. The drugs had an estimated street value of $18,270.

The 22-year-old is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order.
