Man charged in weekend shooting

A 22-year-old Windsor man has been arrested in connection to a shooting over the weekend.

Windsor police were called to the area of Howard Avenue and Erie Street around 3:30 a.m. Sunday for reports of multiple gunshots. Officers located shell casings as well as damage to a residence.

No physical injuries were reported.

After an investigation, officers identified a suspect who was arrested several hours later at a home on Curry Avenue.

The 22-year-old is charged with discharging a firearm, possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, and failure to comply with a release order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
