Safety meeting on Ottawa Street set for Wednesday night

Those who live, work, or own businesses in the Ottawa Street area are invited to a community safety meeting.

Windsor police will host the town hall-style meeting Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Storytellers Bookstore, at 1473 Ottawa Street.

Among those scheduled to speak are Windsor Ward 4 Councillor Mark McKenzie, Windsor Police Inspector Jennifer Crosby, who oversees the Nurse Police Team, and Barry Horrobin, Windsor police's Director of Planning and Physical Resources.

Representatives from the Safety Village and Neighbourhood Watch will also attend.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
