Suspect sought in University Avenue robbery

Windsor police have released surveillance images of a man shown robbing a business west of the downtown core.

It happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at a convenience store on University Avenue West near Crawford Avenue. Police say the suspect brandished a knife before taking cash from the register.

The employee on duty was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a White male in his 30s. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, gloves, and a blue face mask.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
