Get ready for nightly closures on E.C. Row Expressway

The City of Windsor will close a section of the E.C. Row Expressway overnight for the next few weeks.

The closure between Banwell Road and Jefferson Boulevard will start at 8 p.m. Sunday for milling and paving work.

The road will have one lane open during the day starting at 6 a.m. before shutting down again nightly. Drivers should anticipate delays.

The closures will impact overnight traffic until July 5.

"It's in a state of disrepair," said Charles Hartford, the city's contracts coordinator. "Rehabilitation needs to happen before more serious rehabilitation is necessary."

The city said crews will focus on the westbound lanes and then switch to the eastbound ones.
