Windsor boy headed to national spelling bee

Windsor's Isaac Brogan is headed back to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington for the second year in a row.

The sixth grade student attends Maranatha Christian Academy.

Last year, he placed 23rd in the national competition.

The 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee is being held near Washington, D.C., at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. It runs from May 26 to May 31, 2024.

Brogan will compete against three other Canadians along with students from all 50 states, Bahamas, Guam, Germany, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Ghana.
